We hunt down unusually good-value family holidays — so you don't have to.
About

We find the family holidays that are too good to be true. Then we check that they're true.

Holiday Unicorn is an independent deal-finder for UK families, built by people who got tired of overpaying for the school holidays.

Why we exist

Booking a family holiday is a strange kind of maths. The exact same beachfront resort, the same week, the same all-inclusive board, can swing by more than a thousand pounds depending on the operator you happen to check and the order you happen to click. Most families don't have the hours it takes to find the gap, so they pay the first fair-looking price and move on.

We started Holiday Unicorn because we kept noticing those gaps and couldn't unsee them. A “unicorn” is our name for a holiday that's priced well below what it should be for that resort, that season and that party. Genuinely good value, not just a big number with a bigger number crossed out next to it.

What we actually do

We focus on the holidays families actually book: all-inclusive, beachfront, ideally with a waterpark and a kids' club, from the UK's major operators. For each one we work out what it would typically cost for a given resort, season and party size, including the real value of free child places, and we surface the ones that come in clearly under. The rest, we leave out.

We're not a travel agent and we don't sell holidays ourselves. When you find one you like, you book it directly with the operator, on their own site, with their prices and their protection.

How we make money, and how we stay honest

Holiday Unicorn is free to use. When you book through some of our links, the operator may pay us a small commission, at no extra cost to you. That's it. It never changes the price you pay, and it never decides which deals we rank highest. If a holiday isn't good value, we don't feature it, commission or not. You can read the full detail in our terms and privacy policy.

A word on financial protection

Because we link you to holidays rather than selling them, the booking, the contract and any ATOL or ABTA financial protection sit with the operator you book with, not with Holiday Unicorn. We flag where a holiday is sold as a protected package, but always confirm the details on the operator's own website before you pay.
